“Are these speakers loud enough to use in a classroom? My projector does not have a working speaker so I am trying to project decent sound throughout my room.”

I would use these over any normal computer speakers for the price, but your results may vary, since you have a class full of kids. Crank the volume up, turn the bass down a bit and I think you could cut through most children’s disruption.
