It depends on the record player; they're not all the same. These speakers need a line-level input signal. Phonographs using magnetic cartridges aren't strong enough by themselves and need another circuit -- a phono preamp -- to boost their signal. Some phonographs may have that preamp already built in, but most inexpensive ones don't and would need an external phono preamp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These speakers accept a nominal -10dBv (consumer) analog input level. If your record player has a built-in preamp to bring the cartridge level up to line level, then yes it'll work like a champ.
