I saw at least one detailed YouTube comparison. Elgato provided a better picture - not tremendously better but better, that's why I bought it. For what I spent on my DSLR and lenses to get something very good it seemed reasonable to spend more on the camlink as well. And the Elgato, at least for me, just works.
