“Once this device is charged it does not "run down" if not in use, right? My goal is to have this charged and ready, not charging it every 5 days because it loses juice.”

• I fully charged it to 100% on Nov 7. It is still 100% today (Nov 27).

• Lithium batteries shouldn't be stored long term at a full charge. If you don't plan on using it for 2+ weeks then it's best to charge it to 40% capacity. Also the batteries will lose some power over time. Especially if they are above 85% full.

• Its always good to top it off every 90 days to make sure you will be at 100% anytime an emergency arises.
