“I just purchased this charger, it gets extremely hot after just a couple minutes of having my phone plugged into it. I have only tried it twice both times within five minutes my phone and The wireless charger are extremely hot. Is this normal?”

Mine only gets a little warm. Are you leaving it plugged in too long? Make sure that you are not over charging your devices.
