They usually last for up to 2 years. I recomend to place those on a cool, shadow place, to preserve them to the maximun period of time.

I think the expiration on them was 2024 but I can’t be positive. I have thrown the packaging away. I used both of them in my smoke detectors. I was pleased with the batteries because the expiration date was way out but I will definitely still check my detectors yearly.

I had a smoke alarm I was not using, but it still had the energizer in it after 2 years. It was still working.  I would not recommend leaving a battery in a smoke alarm that long however.

5 years is what a 9 volt lasting 5 years.
