Works fine on my Panasonic cordless phone, I drop the phone into charging station at the end of every day

Yes they can be used in cordless phones. I use mine in a 3 phone Panasonic cordless system. The only time that [ had this problem was when the battery needed replaced or there was a problem with phone it self.

yes they are made for cordless phones that sit on a cradle with electric bases if the screen is blank batteries wont help that a display board issue not worth fixing
