Yes. They hold their charge a long time. How long they last depends on power requirement, but they are some of the best I have ever used.

Rechargeables by nature tend to be lower voltage. Make sure you verify in your owners manual it doesn't discourage the use of NiMH batteries as their fully charged voltage may not be high enough to work properly, or run low prematurely causing undesired operation.

You can use these as you would any other AA batteries. You have to look at the individual ratings for the AA battery you are buying and how long it will hold a charge. They work the same as regular batteries but are so much better for the environment.

These batteries work 24-7 up to 6 months in my automatic trash can with constant use. I’m sure they will run flawlessly in your thermostat. For the second part of your question, I often use these batteries for my nikon speedflashes, particularly the SB-910. With a single 5 hour charge, the batteries last for 8 hours in the flash with rigorous use from full to 1/2 flash power. Hope this helps!

Yes they would, I have mine on my keyboard and mouse and I use it at least 6 hours a day every day, they last a long time and best of all you can just recharge when needed. The thermostat does not use much of the battery that I know of. hope this helps.

Only if your thermostat has a built in recharger. They will run until the power is used up if it does not have a built in recharger
