This projector is the top of the line. You can put it 15 feet from the wall and get 10-14 ft, or you could mount it 35 ft.-- it has that much adjustment in the "throw". But that is not the biggest technical problem you have to answer about screen size. The big question is how far back is your seating? I mounted this projector at 15ft in a room that is 18 feet long. That means that my seating will be back between 10 feet and 18 feet. Now I could throw a picture on the wall to full width, but the problem is that people sitting 10 feet from the wall will not be able to look at a 13 foot wide picture that goes from corner to corner without moving their head from side to side. As a matter of fact, a 10 foot picture is border line too big when you are sitting 10 feet from the wall, however, it is optimum for the people sitting against the wall (in luxury overstuffed furniture), so I am going with 10 feet. I have lost the web page name, but there is a site that most retailers will send you to to spec out your projector and screen size along with specs on seating. However, even 10 feet is nothing to sneeze at. It is still 5 times bigger than the 50" LED TV I used to use. I decided to paint the wall flat white and try it for 6 months before spending the money and locking myself into a particular screen size. 10 foot seems good for me, but if your room is 24 feet deep and you have more seating than me, you can play with the size and see what works.
