Hello Cog. The RR-70W is intended to be used to scan documents and receipts. Scanning photos could potentially damage your original while it's being fed. For photos, we recommend looking at the V39 or V600 photo scanner. They are currently in stock on BestBuy's website, but please note inventory can change. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
