• The XC3 Black is the budget option, without a backplate. XC is the the normal version with the backplate, and XC3 Ultra is the same as XC except with an overclock.

• black has lower clock speeds a bit slower of card hence the price difference

• Clock speed is the difference. We don't know benchmarks yet, so not sure how much the higher boost speed on this actually gives in performance. It'll be more powerful than the cheaper one, but may be by a tiny amount.
