My understanding from the other BBY ads is that the subscription price is $39 per month. I'm sure it will eventually change, but is not bad considering it amounts to a little over $1.28 per day. There was a question posted on the bike without the tablet ($999) asking if you can buy the bike and record your data without the subscription. I couldn't find a representative at Best Buy who could answer that question when I first saw the bikes last summer.
