Does it stop food odor in the freezer? null

Yes is does stop food order in the freezer.

It does mitigate odor in the freezer as long as there is a positive seal (vacuum). I still keep a box of Arm & Hammer in the deep freezer though for other items not sealed by the system (I use Ziplock SlideLock bags filled with enough R.O. water to displace the air).
