No,  Redeem for the free months advertised.  If subscription not cancel before the end if the promo period,  you will be charged.   
Can cancel right away from App store , and still keep for the duration of promo.

When expires is gonna charge you a month but if you remember on time like 7 days before expires cancel the subscription. But for redeem a new trial you have to pay at least a month otherwise doesn’t going to let you redeem another key
