“How is the built-in car "cigarette lighter" port to be used? i.e. can it take 12v input to charge theTP300, and/or provide 12v charge? I did not get the user manual since I bought this as "open box", and apparently the first buyer did not return that.”

• You can use the car cigarette lighter to charge the TP300 by inserting it into the TP300's PD in port via a USB-C cable. You can also charge the product using the adapter that comes with it.
