“The ice seems pretty wet (actually dripping) so even when I transfer immediately to my freezer - because of the moisture, the ice all sticks together. Is this supposed to happen?”

I transfer the ice to a zip top bag and put it in the freezer. After it has been in the freezer for a little bit, I knock the bag on the counter to break it up and then I put it in my ice container in the freezer to use. Works great. If I'm trying to store ice for later, I store it in the zip top bag and hit it on the counter and leave it in the freezer.
