Top Freezer Refrigerator is designed to operate in an environment where the temperature ranges from 55°F to 110°F. However, it is not recommended to install the refrigerator in a location where the temperature falls below 32°F. Therefore, it is not advisable to use this refrigerator in a garage with winter temperatures below freezing. The refrigerator may not function properly and may cause damage to the unit. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not believe this model has the proper equipment to enable safe operation in below freezing conditions found in northern climate garages. Please remember to do a thorough search within the detailed specifications to confirm weather or not a particular model refrigerator has the proper capabilities for operating in freezing conditions. During my research I found very few models stating that they could operate in colder climates, however they were very limited as to how much lower the operating temperature could actually be. It not a good idea if you want the appliance to last a few years.
