“I just took delivery of this model and there is a piece of styrofoam in a plastic piece at the top of the refrigerator behind the light. It’s a bit rough looking and I’m wondering if it should be removed. What is its purpose? Won’t it absorb odors?”

Thanks for reaching out to us, Wanda! Many top-mount refrigerators contain Styrofoam above the control or air filter housing, which is there for insulation and recommended to not be removed. We hope this information answers your question and was helpful to you. -Ciara
