Is the "pocket handle" supposed to activate a lock or is just a pull down door? We got ours installed and the handle doesn't move, so I wanted to see if that was normal. Thanks! null

The pocket handle on the Frigidaire FDPC4221AW dishwasher is designed as a built-in recessed handle for pulling the door open. It is not a locking mechanism and is not intended to move or activate a lock.

If the handle does not move, that is normal. The dishwasher door should open by placing your fingers into the pocket handle area and pulling the door downward.

very hard to pull up on handle and it does not appear to move and I have to use both hands. I thisnk one day I will not be able to open door.
