We set it to 5 and it seems to keep everything perfectly fine.

If your model is 0-8, try setting the dial in the middle. If you feel it needs to be cooler you can adjust the knob toward the higher numbers. Or alternatively, you can adjust the knob toward the lower numbers if you notice it needs to be warmer.
