This is sort of an impossible question at this time because you should have asked who delivered it if it was ever at any time layed down on its side. If it remained in an upright position the whole time including the handling from the truck to its final position, it would not take hardly any wait time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as the refrigerator has not been stored on its side or back, you can plug it in as soon as you bring it home! It may take 24 hours after being plugged in before the temperatures inside fully stabilize. ~Ashton

Please try again later.I believe the instructions are to wait 24 hours AFTER plugging in to make sure you've achieved the desired temperature before adding items you would like to refrigerate. It's not bad advice. After plugging mine in, I discovered my fridge's default settings were too high - it would have frozen any food I added to it. And I made several additional adjustments in the weeks following.
