There is a small area at the top which gets cold enough to freeze items. It has a small swing door inside the frig which, when opened, provides additionally cooling to the drinks stored in the door. It is not thermally isolated from the rest of the frig and may be the cooling unit for the whole frig; I don't know. There is no separate freezer compartment.

Yes, there is a small freezer area on the top. It isn't sealed but it will keep stuff frozen. To reiterate, area is small.

They call it a ChillBox but it effectively is a small freezer but very tiny so hardly counts as one.
