I have had this small fridge for about a month and use it for drinks pool side. The "freezer space" is only a chill space. There has been no build up and drinks are kept cold. I have had no issues with this unit at all.

No, it does, but very slowly. The freezer unit is what cools the fridge. So when the unit is full the freezer doesn't work well. On side note, I bought it for extra drink storage. That was a mistake. Selves, even after several adjustments do no lend themselves to storing more than one twelve pack of bottles. If you lay bottles on their sides you can get more in, but they fall out when you open the door.
