“If I order this for pickup at the store will it be in a box and what are the dimensions of the box? Can it be laid on its back or side while transporting?”

Hi, Permagrin! The unit isn't shipped in a box, it will be wrapped in an cushion with Styrofoam. It's best to keep your refrigerator in an upright position. Putting a refrigerator down on its side can cause damage to the refrigerator compressor. -Bianca
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We actually bought one of these a few months ago and i believe free delivery was actually included. So you might look into that first. Also I had a rough time with this item because they were back ordered - so double check on that. And Best Buy price matched this with Lowe’s and PC Richard. As for the box, I didn’t save that info. But Most manufacturers list the outer dimensions on the item listing. I would estimate from when I unboxed it that there was about 2-3 inches on each of the 4 sides but that the top and bottom added only an inch over the fridge dimensions. And as for laying down I would be cautions. Some refrigerators allow that but normally require you leave it back upright for about an hour or so before plugging in to allow the fluids to readjust.
