• Hello, Saranell. While it is recommended that this range is installed with a downdraft or overhead ventilation system, your local building codes specify the need, or lack thereof, for ventilation to be installed. You can change the fuel type from natural gas to propane. You would need an LP conversion kit. Hope this helps! -Alexis
