YES. BUT YOU HAVE TO TURN THE FOOD SEVERAL TIMES AND WATCH IT ALL THE TIME IT'S COOKING. THE QUICK BOIL SURE LIVES UP TO IT'S NAME. WHEN I BOIL WATER FOR TEA, IT'S DONE IN LESS THAN HALF THE TIME THE OTHER STOVE TOOK.
