Hello, ABS1! This model should be compatible with 14" deep cabinets. It is important to note that If the cabinet depth including the cabinet doors is more then 13'"' then the unit must be spaced out from wall using adequate materials supporting 150Ibs to allow proper top vent air exhaust/intake. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see why not. Upper cabinets are usually 12" deep, so 14" cabinets just means it will be set back two inches. The mounting plate connects to the wall behind the appliance, so it will have to go back to the wall. The microwave protrudes out about 2 1/2", which includes the door. Being recessed 2" may not allow the door to open though. You may need to install two 2x4's to the wall to attach the plate to so the microwave will clear the cabinet. Also if you are not venting to the outside, the unit needs to protrude to allow the recirculating fan to operate.
