A:AnswerHi Jojo - For best results, the 10.75" turntable rotates food throughout the cycle and cannot be turned off. Also, the turntable must be in place when using the oven. Thanks for your interest! Sue

Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JEM3072SHSS. These two models are compatible with Undercabinet Hanging Kit JXA019K (sold separately). Thanks for choosing GE! Sue
A:AnswerHi Sally - The glass tray is 10.75". GE® 1.1 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JES1145SHSS has a 12.75" glass tray. Thanks for viewing GE! Sue
A:AnswerHi Kim- The recommended clearances are 3 inches on each side, 3 inches on the top, and 1 inch in the rear. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. If you have additional clearances on the top (4.8:) and back (5.25"), 1.25" on each side should be sufficient. While it varies, on most, vents are generally on one side and back. Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
A:AnswerWhile there is no direct way to turn the clock off, we found that if we trip the bresker (old house) the display will read pF for “power failure” when we turn the power back on. If we just don’t set the clock, but continue to use the oven normally, the display remains blank. Perhaps this is just our oven, but we like not having the bright light from the display on all the time.
A:AnswerHi JPmom- The microwave has a straight plug (not flat or right-angle). See page 5 of the Owner's Manual for illustration of straight plug: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40733-1.pdf - GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven JEM3072SHSS is 13" deep with a right angle plug. Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Ronn- GE® 0.7 Cu. Ft. Capacity Countertop Microwave Oven
JES1072SHSS is designed for use on the counter. We do not recommend installing in a tight space, like a cabinet. Countertop Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We suggest 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. See MICROWAVE AIR CLEARANCE - COUNTERTOP ONLY MODELS: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21668 - Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerHi Maggie- We can only recommend using the turntable included with your microwave. GE Appliances cannot recommend altering, redesigning, or modifying an appliance. Our products are designed, tested and manufactured to specific specifications. On new products, we offer a warranty based on these specifications, so any modification may void this warranty. We're glad to have you in the GE Appliances Family! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerI don't think it will work... while the unit itself measures 11.5 in depth, the back sticks out and needs another 1.5, so 13 inches total is what you need for depth.
A:AnswerHi Ally- The microwave is equipped with feet. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. We encourage you to view the following link- MICROWAVE AIR CLEARANCE - COUNTERTOP ONLY MODELS: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21668 - Thanks for considering GE! A:AnswerHi Jaggers- The microwave requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! SUE@GEA
