    • Answer Hi 4Green - The unit can be placed on a shelf above a counter. The dimensions are: 10 3/16 H x 17 5/16 W x 12 3/4 D. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. Allow 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping. If located on the counter near a range, we recommend locating it at least 2 ft away.   • QuestionI've had a microwave for approx. 4 to 5 yrs. The paint on the interior, under the glass plate has begun to chip or peel and rust has formed. Is this a safety or health hazard for me. Will your product do the same. And how do I avoid this problem

  • QuestionSue answered my question and told me the cord sticks out two inches in the back. She also said the oven needs 1 inch clearance in the back for ventilation. Does the two inches of cord provide this clearance?

    • Answer Hi FarmLady - "Add 30 Sec" can be used with the Popcorn setting once the countdown time is displayed. It will add 30 seconds to the time counting down each time the pad is pressed. Each touch will add 30 seconds, up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. The Popcorn feature is preprogrammed for popcorn weighing 2.5 to 3.0 ounces. Follow package instructions, using "Time Cook" if the package is less than 2.5 ounces or larger than 3.0 ounces. "Add 30 Sec" can also be used with "Time Cook". Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! Sue
