Based on our research, we are finding that this model does not come with a hanging kit and therefore, we would not recommend attempting to use another hanging kit to install this unit beneath a cabinet. A:AnswerHi Tina - The power cord is approximately 39". We strongly recommend that an extension cord not be used with a microwave due to the potential safety hazards under certain conditions. The microwave should be plugged into its own properly grounded, dedicated electrical outlet to prevent the flickering of the lights, blowing of a fuse or tripping of a circuit breaker. A:AnswerHi Kim- The recommended clearances are 3 inches on each side, 3 inches on the top, and 1 inch in the rear. Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. If you have additional clearances on the top (4.8:) and back (5.25"), 1.25" on each side should be sufficient. While it varies, on most, vents are generally on one side and back. A:AnswerWhile there is no direct way to turn the clock off, we found that if we trip the bresker (old house) the display will read pF for “power failure” when we turn the power back on. If we just don’t set the clock, but continue to use the oven normally, the display remains blank. Perhaps this is just our oven, but we like not having the bright light from the display on all the time.

JES1072SHSS is designed for use on the counter. We do not recommend installing in a tight space, like a cabinet. Countertop Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We suggest 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear.
