The Timer and microwave functions (like Time Cook, Express Cook, etc.) cannot be used at the same time; we regret any inconvenience this may cause. The Timer functions as a minute timer and can also be used as a hold setting after defrosting. More information on the Timer is available on page 12 of the manual (which can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number and going to the product page) if that may be helpful. When the model is manufactured, these extra letters/numbers are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. A:AnswerHi - This GE microwave will do a great job heating packaged frozen foods. Cooking or reheating directions usually list the suggested cooking times as a span of time. Ex. 6-8 mins. A:AnswerHello - Great question! We strongly recommend that an extension cord not be used with a microwave due to potential safety hazards under certain conditions. Extension cords may be used if the following conditions are met. The extension cord must be a three-wire grounding type appliance cord that has an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approval and mentions the current it can handle. The extension cords are usually marked 15 or 20 amps. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the microwave.
