“There’s a yellow sticker on the control panel display that reads “Remove protective film before use”; where is this film that it’s referring to and how does one remove it?”

The yellow stick is on top of a film protecting the clock and keypad! I took time (a lot of time) peeling the yellow sticker off only to discover the film was beneath it!
