The light comes on when the door opens.
It has the option to add 30 seconds.

Yes, this microwave has an interior light and an Add 30 Seconds button. Pressing this button will automatically start the microwave and put 30 seconds on the timer. Each time the button is pressed, 30 seconds will be added.
