  • QuestionWhat does it mean when the microwave number screen goes black

    Asked by Dabmaster.

    • Answer Hi Dabmaster, thank you for reaching out to us and for your patience. We truly appreciate you choosing a GE Appliances microwave for your home and are very sorry to hear of the recent issues you are having with electronic digital display. We can imagine that this would be a frustrating experience and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused for you. If the display is not lighting up, we would first recommend that you press the Pause/Off button to clear it in the case that a power failure may have occurred. If the oven will not come on, unplug your microwave and plug it back in and make sure that the plug is fully inserted into wall receptacle. If these suggestions do not resolve the issue, service may be needed to properly diagnose the unit. You can schedule an appointment with GE Factory Service by calling 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET, Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or schedule online at any time. We hope that this helps! -Eliza@GEA

  • QuestionWe just got this microwave and the turn table stutters when in use. It not supposed to do that, right? It supposed to turn at a constant and consistent speed, correct?

    Asked by JC.

    • Answer mine runs smoothly, however there was a lot of packaging tape along the rim of the door and the opening face of the oven. I would make sure that all of the clear tape has been removed and that there are no bits of styrofoam stuck to the ring insert (and the tiny wheels) under the clear glass dish or the center prong inside the bottom of the oven as well.

  • QuestionIs it wall mountable?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, Thanks for asking! We appreciate your interest in GE Appliances, and would be more than happy to help with this microwave. We found that this is a countertop model without built-in capability, therefore it can not be mounted. If you are looking for a microwave than can be mounted, we suggest looking at models with built-in capability or over-the-range styles. You can find out the type of microwave by looking under the specifications on the product page. We hope this information helps. • QuestionDoes microwave do popcorn? Can you see what is in microwave while it's on?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us at GE Appliances. We are happy to hear of your interest in this amazing microwave. This is a great question and we are happy to help. This microwave does have a popcorn feature that can be accessed by pressing the popcorn button on the control panel. For more information on how to use this feature view page 9 of the Use and Care Manual. All microwaves have a window in the door that has a mesh screen inside of it. This screen helps keep the microwaves inside the cavity, and is a necessary part of the microwave. You may find that the screen makes it difficult to see your food as it is cooking. Although it is difficult to see detail, the window should allow you to see if there are any problems while cooking, like arcing, burning, boilovers, etc. If you need to check on your food, opening the door will pause the microwave. We hope this information helps, feel free to reach out again with any other questions you may have. Have a great day!-Avery@GEA
