“Once plugged in should I see any evidence of power to the unit or does one start it up by setting the clock? We plugged it in and saw no power. Should a light go on ? Must we set clock to get settings to come up ? Yep no manual came with it.”

Hi SantaElg- The colon ( : ) will blink / flash when programming a new time of day. To program the clock, press Clock. Enter time of day. Press Clock to set the time. Also, to confirm power, the unit has an interior light that comes on when the door is opened and when it is cooking. Download manual from GE website. The online manual provides more information how to use the microwave. Hope my answers to your questions were helpful.
