A:AnswerHi Confused- Thanks for your purchase! We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience and glad to help. If the microwave shuts down during a cooking cycle, check the house circuit breaker and verify the outlet is getting power. You can try plugging something else into the outlet, like a night light, lamp, etc. If the outlet is getting power, the microwave may have overheated. Overheating can occur after several minutes of cooking (long cooking times) or if the microwave air clearance requirements have not been met. We suggest 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. If the microwave turns off before the set time is complete, it can be due to a covered or blocked oven vent around the case. Uncover the vent or reposition the oven so that the vents are not blocked. This will assure adequate airflow around the oven. Wait approximately 30 minutes to see if the microwave power returns. If power does not return to the microwave, this signals a problem. A:Answerit's relatively quiet. The beeps are not at all annoying and if you open the door after the beeping starts, it doesn't continue to run the cycle, which is 4 or 5 beeps. The quiet little reminder beep is not irritating at all. Don't know if you can turn off the beeps but I wouldn't want to.
A:AnswerWe do not offer a trim kit for this model as it is not designed or approved for a built-in style application. Take a look at our PEB7227DLWW model. It can be installed as a built-in unit with the compatible trim kit. -Vikki@GEAppliances

A:AnswerHello Bert61 - Thank you for reaching out about this amazing microwave. Model JES1460DSWW has the interior dimensions 14-3/4" w x 9-7/8" h x 16-1/4" d. Keep in touch! - JB
A:AnswerYes. The front of the microwave might stick out another inch or two, but because of where the legs/base are located, it will fit on a 15 inch shelf.
A:AnswerMinnie, my original answer, above, was wrong. You can indeed set this GE Microwave to run two minutes simply by pressing the "2" button. What I said in my previous comment is true only if you first press the "Time Cook" button. So it looks like this is the feature you are looking for.
A:AnswerHello,
This is Michelle with GE Appliances. Here are the overall dimensions of model JES1460DSWW: Depth - 16 3/8", Height - 12 1/2" and 21 7/8". Thanks for checking!
A:AnswerHello, Model JES1460 does not have a trim kit and cannot be installed as a built in. Kee in mind, microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents.
Countertop Models require the following:
~3" of clearance on both sides and the top
~1" clearance in the rear
~The front edge of the microwave (measured at door) should sit at least 3" or more back on the counter or shelf to avoid accidental tipping.
These microwaves are intended for countertop use only. We do not recommend installing them in tight spaces, like a cabinet. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.
A:AnswerHello, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. Microwaves aren't considered Energy Star qualified. Energy Star can be found on refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers, Room Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers and Vent Hoods. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. For Products: In order to earn the label, ENERGY STAR products must be third-party certified based on testing in EPA-recognized laboratories. In addition to up-front testing, a percentage of all ENERGY STAR products are subject to "off–the–shelf" verification testing each year. The goal of this testing is to ensure that changes or variations in the manufacturing process do not undermine a product's qualification with ENERGY STAR requirements. Thanks so much for your question. Have a great day!
