If the inside dimensions of your trim kit match the outside dimensions of the microwave, you should be fine. Are you worried about it pushing back in the cabinet over time? I wouldn't think that would be an issue. On the rare occasion that happened, you could re-position it. I had to do that with a prior replacement from time to time. You can always double check with GE by going to their website and using their real time chat feature. They can tell you the best replacement for what you had,

A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. It is important to only use the trim kit designed for that model. They are not interchangeable. This model is compatible with Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX9153SJSS and Optional 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX9152SJSS. A 22" minimum cabinet depth is required (receptacle outside cabinet). See the Quick Specs for details: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=PEB9159SJSS_R2.pdf - Thanks for checking with us!
