The Reset Filter message is a timed reminder designed to prompt you to change the charcoal filter. It will illuminate approximately every six months. This feature does not detect when the filter is actually dirty; it operates on a preset timer. The charcoal filter typically needs to be replaced every 6–12 months. After the filter has been changed, if applicable, place your finger over the words “Reset Filter” and press and hold for 3 seconds. The indicator light will then reset and turn off. If the light remains on after doing this, disconnect power to the microwave for a minute or two by unplugging it or switching off the circuit breaker. Then restore power and check whether the indicator has reset. If your microwave is vented externally, a charcoal filter is not required, and you can simply reset the indicator light. If a new filter is needed, the part number is WB02X35687. Please check with Best Buy regarding availability. If it is not available there, it can be purchased through our parts team at 1-877-959-8688. To review information on how to change the charcoal filter, please see page 17 of the User Manual for this model by visiting the product page, clicking the “Features” tab, and navigating to the “Manuals & Guides” section.
