A:AnswerWe had a Best Buy rep install our microwave. I am pretty sure the upper holes matched from our previous GE which we had for 17 years. However, the installer used the previous bolts as they were longer than the ones that came with the new microwave. Once again, I am sure Best Buy customer service can probably answer the question.

All over-the-range microwaves can be vented to the outside using an equivalent total of 140 feet of rigid 3 1/4" x 10" rectangular or rigid 6" round ducting (a rectangular to round transition adapter must be used). Round ducts should be a minimum of 6". When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. You can use the same rear venting.
