“Does this unit have control panel lighting? I asked the service rep about this when I bought it and he said the unit was not plugged in and that's why it wasn't lit. The unit was installed yesterday and still no control panel lighting.”

the touch control pad does not light up or have a backlight but it absolutely should. Come on Whirlpool get with it. It's a no-brainer!
