Depends on what version of model you got. I learned on the warranty registration page there are at least 8 different versions that all have the same model number. Ridiculous huh? As an engineer with training in parts classification systems, that is a no no. The unit's owner's manual on Best Buy says unit has incandescent bulbs, while the manual on GE site says it has halogen. Both say two lights and if I remember 40W. The unit delivered to me in May has only one cooktop light and it has a blade style base with 2 prongs. It is marked with Aglaia 130v 50w. This light is way brighter than my old unit. I thought I might be disappointed that there was only one light but it is actually more than adequate as all four corners of cooktop are well iluminated.
