“I am replacing a ductless over the range GE XL microwave. Can the Bisque Model JVM3160DFCC require a outside venting system? Also, if it can be be used as a ductless unit hen where are the vents. My current model has vents above the door.”

Hi MJA- The over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal), *Outside exhaust (vertical), *Recirculating (non-vented). If the model is converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter JX81L (included) that helps remove smoke and odors. The vent is located above the door.
