We are sorry to hear your GE microwave model JVM1440WD (Dimensions: 16 1/2 H x 29 7/8 W x 14 5/16 D) needs replacing and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. All GE 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide x 12" deep (min.) cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement. Model JVM3160DFWW is a great choice (Dimensions: 16 1/2 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 1/4 D). Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com! Sue

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Looking at the picture I researched. The current model doesn’t have the vents over the top of the microwave which is the only difference. The buttons and all the other functions look the same with some additional features. I would suggest checking the dimensions of the new microwave you are looking at purchasing to make sure the fit will be similar if space is an issue.
