That is a fairly standard cabinet depth. Same as mine. The unit will protrude out about 3 inches. Looks fine

Hi JonandJen - The microwave is 15 1/4" deep. The minimum cabinet depth requirement is 12" so this should work for you. It is normal for the microwave to protrude from the cabinet.
