“I am having new cabinets being put in our kitchen. We currently have a microwave on our counter but want to put in an over the oven microwave. In order to correctly vent this do I have to vent it to the outside and cut a hole in my wall ??”

The model we bought is designed for over-stove use, has lights and aluminum grease trap screens on bottom. I read that this microwave has a special attachment that allows one to not have to vent to outside, but I personally prefer not having to change charcoal attachment for that and like outside venting. Check out the Best Buy information further as that might give you better info. They also list the dimensions and have a photo. Hope this helps.

All of our Over-the-Range microwaves can be installed to vent by re-circulation. This means the air is pulled in through the bottom, ran through a charcoal filter, and vented back out through the front, top of the microwave. No holes in your wall are required.
