My experience (1/2019) was with replacing a GE Model JVM231WV001 30" wide, circa 1995, with a current production, GE JVM3160DFCC with the same, standard width. I elected for delivery and installation. The installers were in and out the front door in exactly 15 minutes --- having dismounted the old unit, drilled new bolt holes, installed a new bracket, mounted and tested the new unit , plus carted away the old unit (no disposal charge). These guys really knew what they were doing. The lesson here is that it was a very wise choice to go with professional installation on what would have been a very tedious job for this skilled home owner..

All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My new GE has a U shaped bracket, not sure if your old one has same one. It also uses 3 bolts for the top to mount to the cabinet. 2 on the "heavy' side of oven. hope that helps
