“I am looking for replacement for PVM1790SR1SS, which is no longer made. Will this model fit in the same cabinet space already cut out? Does it vent out the front or top or back?”

I just purchased this microwave 3 weeks ago. It will fit in the same space as your prior. However, you will need to use the new bracket it comes with, as we tried to use the wall bracket from our old one we we’re replacing and could not. So make sure you are prepared to do the new bracket install. The vent is on the top

It comes vented externally, but it can be recirculated if desired. It is very simple to turn the blower motor around and have the microwave vent internally. We would like to let you know that this model doesn't offer convection, like your previous model. Although, there is an additional cost with convection.
