Is this microwave compatible with a gas range? null

Hello- We appreciate you checking with us. All current OTR (over-the-range microwaves), including convection, Advantium ovens, vent hoods, and telescopic downdraft vents can be installed over gas ranges and cooktops* with combined surface burner BTU rating of approximately 65,000 BTUs or less. As long as the 66" minimum clearance from the floor to the top of the microwave is followed there will be no performance or warranty problem. ~For Pro Ranges and Rangetops, we recommend checking the installation instructions for the appliance. Yes, it is compatible with a gas stove and pretty easy to install as well

It has nothing to do with the range except light it up.
