My old model unit was JVM3160EF1ES and the one im looking to purchase as a replacement is model number JVM3160EFES. It is missing the number 1 that my older unit had? Checking if this unit would fit in its place over my stove? Any help would be appreciate null

Hi David - Yes, the microwaves have the same dimensions. When you get your new model, you will notice an extra number on the rating plate. When the model is manufactured, these extra letters/numbers are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. My model JVM3160RFSS died after little over two years. I would keep looking for something reliable. I haven't replaced it yet so can't recommend another brand.
