“The space between the range and the bottom of microwave is only 24 in is there a problem in installing the new microwave?”

Hi Tony - Thanks for considering GE Model JVM3160RFSS! Over- the- range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to. This allows about 14" from the cooktop to bottom of microwave.
